There are 3 sheltered bays with fine sandy beaches and the beautiful Château Royal from the 13th century which is a museum open to the public. Around the fortress there is a wonderful promenade with artists selling their art.

You can travel to Collioure via Barcelona, or Perpignan. There is a train station in Collioure and a larger one in Perpignan with express trains from Barcelona 1.20 min) and to Montpellier.
